Abstract Pack- “That’s Life” and “Skillz” Feat Big Jess

In 1998, The Abstract Pack released their debut album “Bousta Set It (For The Record)”.  It was an instant underground success that helped them gain a strong fan base from L.A. to Philly.  The classic hits YES, Go For Mine, and No Coast were favorites amongst the college and mix-tape dj’s. The album opened the door for The Pack to share the spotlight with some of hip hop’s most notable artists such as Redman, Xzibit, OutKast, and Common, Add to that, write-ups in Blaze, The Rap Pages, and The Source and is no wonder that The Pack were heralded as one of the best hip hop groups from Minnesota and earned them the honor of receiving the Twin Cities Hip Hop Legends Award in 2008.

After a brief hiatus from the scene, the prodigal sons have returned with their sophomore project “Ear-Responsible”, a flavored masterpiece that highlights their maturity and growth as both men and as artists. The first single, That’s Life, blends portions of folk with disco to create a tune that is certain to have music lovers nodding their heads while simultaneously contemplating the issues that plague our society.  While introspective, The Pack, however, stay true their roots as evidenced in the lyrically ferocious hip hop-metallic cut Bang Yo’ Box,   The P.I.T.S. continues to emphasize their musical depth and creativity yet is sure to be a cross-over sensation.

In a time when artists refuse to acknowledge their influence on the younger generation, “Ear-Responsible” will bridge the gap between old-school & new-school and prove that The Pack are the next ambassadors of the hip hop culture.
